Er... actually. I plugged in my iPhone today in a newly upgraded (so not a properly reinstalled by upgraded system) and I immediately got fspot in front my face asking what to do with my iPhone and all the photo's on it. My heart jumped and my girlfriend had to endure the five minutes of me doing the hokeypokey :) But why won't they ever code iTunes for Linux? I mean, the only tool I can place music on it with without jailbreaking my phone.

Yeah, after you asked about the iPhone on Linux I did a little research on it. All you can do is get music to and from a jailbroken iPhone, which is something a lot of users don't want to do, and for good reason.

I don't have my own personal cell phone, so I'm not too worried about Linux compatibility with them just yet, but when Android starts picking up more steam I'll probably be getting more interested. :)

Indeed Ubuntu is solid these days. Most, if not all, of the issues I've had in the past have been addressed (wifi, video drivers, etc.) and I would agree that most people could easily use it day to day without issues. That said, I don't use it yet. You see, I own an iPhone, and as far as I can tell there just isn't, and may never be, full support for my iPhone on Linux. Seems like some of the fuctions do work (like getting music on it) but from what I can tell you have to jailbreak your phone and you can't have the latest version of the firmware, etc. I'm in Apple's walled garden. It's a shiny, beautiful walled garden but there is definitely a wall...
